An open space of at least 3×3 meters with your pole placed at the center is a general recommendation. These measurements vary depending on the height, arm and leg span of each person. If you want to be specific, measure the full span of your body with toes pointed and arms stretched straight up overhead (from toes to finger tips). This number will be the minimum recommended radius of your pole to wall or any other object in your room. Having this distance will ensure that even on your longest, most outstretched spin, your feet will not contact the walls or anything else in your room.
If you do not have this amount of space at home, we recommend starting in an area that is as open and spacious as possible where you will not contact surrounding walls, furniture or objects.
